**Announcement**

In 2006 a company called Marine Team Offshore Ltd was set up under the umbrella of the Marine Team Network by Alison Gill and Sebastian Von Lüders to provide experienced Marine Mammal Observers to the offshore industry. In October 2008 Alison decided to step down as Director of this company to pursue a different career path in training and consultancy forming a new company called Intelligent Ocean Ltd (www.intelligentocean.com). On March 18th 2009 the Joint Nature Conservation Committee approved Alison as a Marine Mammal Observer Trainer. Alison will also continue to operate the Marine Team as a Directory of information for marine mammal issues and as a networking website for marine mammal scientists. The Marine Team Website will be re-launched shortly

Over two years Marine Team Offshore Ltd has successfully provided Marine Mammal Observers and Passive Acoustic Monitoring Operators to several Clients working in Gulf of Mexico, Mozambique, Gabon, Libya, Oman, Venezuela, North Sea and Shetlands/Faeroes Bank.
